Ever been in a situation where you attended an event and you felt like, if you missed this, you would have regretted it? That was the exact feedback we received from attendees who attended our website launch. The number of attendees exceeded our expectations. The panel session with Ovo Ogufere, Moriam Musa and our moderator Leah Idris, popularly known as Leah Famous, was extremely amazing. It started with a mind-blowing performance from Daniel on spoken words, trickled down to a panel session, there was networking, exchange of contact, a GOMYCODE representative introduced her courses to the audience and it ended by Philip Owoju Abayomi, the Founder and CEO of Blurp Space, teaching Vendors and Affiliates how to use this website.
Spoken Words From Okhai Daniel Idanesi Aka Danibrian
Daniel was fantastic, he wrote a short piece about Blurp Space, so we decided to give a breakdown on his spoken words. Here it is;
Because your left is different from my right doesn’t mean I am oppose to you
Take what’s left and make things right that’s what you are supposed to do
I have got your minds engaged tell me who propose to you
If these words are composed just for you
It’s only what a poet can do
I am fidelity I keep my words
I can’t guarantee you to trust banks
Trust me I have got access to a guaranteed trust bank
My bank is a treasure buried in a coffin
But No one is dying to get their hands on the muffin
Few have dreamt of an infinity stone
Even fewer can carry the mighty hammer of Thor
In a multiverse of endless possibilities
Would you rather be doctor strange or Captain marvel?
Or you just can’t relate
And would rather be yourself
Unleashing the power of the mind
Making the impossible your home
It’s hard to be a Nigerian
The real multiverse of madness
Applaud yourself
You sef don try
You deserve Domino’s pizza
To neutralize this Domino’s effect of hardship
A hard ship like Titanic
Dear Jack if only life was a bed of roses
It would have been a vital foam
The best form of staying awake is asleep
For sleep is a prison that sets us free
But what’s freedom if it enslaves us from being free?
Freedom without movement makes one a stature of liberty
I would rather utilize the veto power of imagination
Exploring my creativity to infinity
Than be ranked 1st in the hall fame of mediocrity
I have got your minds engaged tell me who proposed to you
Engagement like proposals build lords of the Ring
Proposal like business create a business premier League
Welcome to the Etihad
This pep talk is to guard you like pep guardiola
To assist you like KDB
reaching your goals
Giving you that infinity stone
To snap into your reality
To have a feels of that cold stone
This is a thyme where little curry is needed to spice things up
A stitch in time saves a man from stitching time
This time You don’t need cryptocurrency to be current with the current currency
Your transaction Hours are currency beyond compare
Come let’s pair
For The Bluetooth device is ready
It’s a space and you are about to witness the launch of Blurp
Panel session with Mr Ovo Ogufere, Moriam Musa and Leah Idris- Leah Famous
How Moriam Musa got started
Leah started the panel session by asking the panelists how they got started. Moriam Musa gave a very descriptive and emotional story. So she started from the medical field, but was not entirely comfortable with her dress up style. In her own words, they called her “Fashionista Nutritionist”. She got called out for being herself, dressing up so elegantly to the office, and as time went on, she decided to just take a break from the medical field and delved into applying for a job as a Fashion Writer in a media house.
Moriam got called into the interview and they asked her, “what do you know about fashion”? She stopped and said “a lot”, but it was obvious that the interviewers needed more detail. This prompted them to apportion a task to her, which she diligently followed through with, read through various fashion magazines and came back with a well articulated write up. This was her very first push into the fashion industry, although not easy, but a successful one.
How Ovo Ogufere got started
Ovo Ogufere’s story was not so different. He grew up with a family that required him to get a certificate, pushing through school and receiving a job, as a typical Nigerian, but Ovo knew he was created for something more, he felt a void, needed to be filled, recreated and unleashed. He felt Fashion. But before he could pursue his dream, he graduated from Law School, got called to the Bar and worked with a Law Firm Abraham and Co. In his journey to pursue law, he read a book on Mike Bullok, he learned that one can be a Lawyer and be a spectacular one at that. In this time, he noticed the push to read up on fashion news, updates and trends.
This consistently caught his attention, so he did a wide research on the fashion industry and realized that the void he felt earlier, was the need to go into entertainment law. He also noticed that a lot of businesses and stakeholders in fashion required his expertise, so he decided to push into the fashion industry, provided his legal services to top firms, started his modeling agency, XA Models International and went on from there. Recently, he has been working with top companies like Blurp Space to provide more legal services to SMEs in Fashion and even in other industries, to help them stay protected and avoid any form of illegal interruptions.
What Moriam Musa and Ovo Ogufere think businesses make selling digitally
Moriam and Ovo were very clear on their points, “do not cut corners”, and what this means is that, businesses love doing things too quickly, without following through the proper steps to grow the brand. Something simple as having a product research done, working with Public Relations (PR) companies and personalities, attending networking events, collaborations, a lot of businesses and SMEs want success but are not ready to put in the hard work.
Ovo, gave an example of his legal services, in his own words, “a lot of businesses want to avoid legal services, because they feel it is too expensive, but in reality, will you say being educated is too expensive?”, he went on to say that, the Founder of Blurp Space, Philip Owoju Abayomi being young, has him as his lawyer, and in a real sense, if we all look at things carefully, is a freshly new graduate like Philip, starting our a new project and concluding with his Nigerian Youth and Service Corp (NYSC) capable of paying for a top lawyer? But in his own words, he is Philip’s lawyer, and also Blurp Space’s lawyer.
Moriam seconded also by giving us an example of her experience with an old employee in her PR Firm, Morsi PR, on how this person kept on shuffling his work at her company with a business he owned, and this was interrupting the results he provided at the office, and she asked him to take a one week break, focused on his company and come back when he is ready. He came back to her and she requested he take another two weeks off, and he never came back.
Now this further goes to show that, as an employee or business owner, you need to give in your all as a company to be relevant in the job or marketplace within your industry.
What Moriam Musa and Ovo Ogufere thinks about Blurp Space
Moriam and Ovo stated that Blurp Space is one platform that you as a business or company should not miss out on. As a PR expert, Moriam stated the importance of collaborations and tech companies ready to help and assist in the Digital Space, and if any business sees an opportunity to jump on this, they should not wait on anything.
Networking with top minds and the speakers
After the penalist section was done, refreshments were shared, and people got up from their seats to meet and greet. A lot of businesses spoke with the panelists, business owners exchanged numbers and refreshments were shared.
Introducing Blurp Space and e-commerce marketing to Vendors and Affiliates
Philip Owoju was introduced by Leah, the moderator of the event. He was a bit shy, and told Leah to not praise him or give him too many titles, based on his introverted personality but Leah laughed and continued to applaud him for his good works. She made mention of all his work achievements before creating the platform Blurp Space and handed over the microphone to him.
Philip started by introducing what Blurp Space is all about, why he created this platform and asked questions from three audiences. Biola Ojo, a Fashion Designer and Bespoke artisan asked a few questions about how Blurp Space can help his brand.
Philip explained that Blurp Space is all about helping businesses grow. He mentioned that, a business can have an ecommerce store, sell on Jumia, Konga, Amazon and still not make sales, this is not the fault of these platforms he said, but the way the product or service are being posted and pushed out.
He went on to lay more emphasis on the relevance of uploading quality images, product titles and product descriptions of businesses who make it on Google and those who do not. “This is why we are here”, he said, to help you do less, while we do more for you. We educate you on proper ecommerce postings before we approve your products to our marketplace, we teach you Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tactics, keyword research principles and we take it up from there.
He also made mention of the Blurp Space premium package, where you can upload your products for free as a vendor, while we connect you with Blurp Space’s Photographers to help you conduct very affordable photoshoot sections, while you focus on other areas of your business.
He also taught vendors and affiliate marketers how to properly use the Blurp Space website, create accounts, and how to contact Blurp Space
