Meet Moriam Musa– Biography
Moriam is a Publisher of 3 online magazines –Tribe & Elan, Beaute Rack and Lifestyle Circuit . She is the African Curator for Africa Fashion Week London, Head curator of Kulture 2310- an African Fashion concession store in Lagos.
During her 5 year stint with the media house, she was recognized for her roles in discovering new fashion talents, organizing trade shows, hosting lifestyle seminars and workshops to which she was awarded The Most Resourceful Staff .
Moriam eventually moved on to set up Nigeria’s foremost Fashion PR company- Morsi PR, an agency which is a part of the success story of most of Nigeria’s creative talents in the Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle sect seen on both local and international platforms.
A certified and trained Diet & Clinical Nutritionist. She always had a passion for fashion even within the walls of the hospital. Her foray into the ever evolving world of PR started when she moved back to Lagos and took up the role of Fashion Reporter with City people Fashion and Style magazine. In no short time, she rose to become a Fashion & Style columnist. She is also a member of Wimbiz and a mentor at the Fate Foundation.
Meet Ovo Ogufere, Founder and CEO of XA Internationals–Biography
Ovo Ogufere is the CEO of Xa! International which happens to be the mother company of one Africa’s leading fashion production firm and model agencies, Xa! Models. He is also the Founder & Editor-in-Chief of Model of Africa.
He is a pioneer advisory Board member for Ckrowd Africa, the continent’s leading digital platform for content creators. He currently serves as the Vice President of Professional Model Managers Association of Nigeria (PROMMAN). He is a Partner for Mens Fashion Week Nigeria. Ovo who got called to the Bar at the Nigerian Law School in 1995 is an entertainment lawyer and Principal Solicitor at Ovo & Co.
The seasoned Show Producer also produces some of Africa’s leading fashion events such as Music Fashion Runway for NMO management, Runway Trybe for Afro UK, The African Prints fashion show to name a few. He also produced the fashion show which was put together by MFR for HE the Deputy British High Commissioner and Field of Skills and Dreams graduation fashion show.
He is also the brain behind Nigeria’s first ever fashion drama “The First Lady” and is the organizer of Lagos Accessories Fashion Week (formerly Lagos Accessories Fair). Ovo who is passionate about nurturing African talents is one of the continent’s key resource persons. He has served in the capacity of a consultant and facilitator in Nigeria, Benin Republic, Togo, Ghana, CĂ´te D’ivoire, South Africa and Cameroon. He was one of the facilitators for Design Fashion Africa’s masterclass which was produced by Spice TV, also invited twice as facilitator for Accra Fashion Week, and as consultant and producer for FIAFA (Cameroon), African Lifestyle Show (Togo) and African Lifestyle Show (Cote D’ivoire) respectively.
He was appointed as the a fashion consultant for West Africa and the northern African regions for South Africa’s leading fashion reality show, Made in Africa. As a fashion consultant he was involved in the selection of key fashion designers for the African Fashion Week Amsterdam and Malik Afegbua’s history-making Seniors Fashion Show. He’s the organizer of the UK Fashion Project, which was a celebration of some of Africa’s best designers which continues to enjoy excellent reviews. He is appointed to produce The African Prints Fashion Show in Australia. He is a co founder of Eko Fashion Connect.
He has functioned as judge in Mr Universe Nigeria, Miss Tourism Nigeria, Miss Campus Nigeria, Ayko Talent & Modeling Competition, Face of Accra Fashion Week and RA International Model Contest. And as Casting Director in African Fashion Week Nigeria, Project Next Model Africa, Nigeria’s Next Super Model, Best Model Nigeria etc. He is a recipient of the ECOWAS Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions towards the development of the fashion industry in West Africa. He is the Author of the Modeling Terms: A – Z which was a hit across West Africa.
Meet Tomisin Ariyo‘s Biography
For the past two decades, she has significantly contributed to the dynamic fashion landscape, both as a Model and a Production team member.
As the Model Coordinator with the Lagos Fashion Week production team from October 2013 till 2023, I played a pivotal role in orchestrating compelling runway experiences.
She was also involved in the production team extended to prestigious events like Lagos Bridal Week and Lagos South Africa Week, where I contributed to the success of notable showcases, including “A Tale of Two Cities.” In 2012, I assumed the role of Executive Producer for the groundbreaking “50 Shades of Design” event, showcasing my commitment to innovative and impactful fashion presentations.
Recently, she had the honor of producing the fashion show at Culturati 2023, further demonstrating my ability to curate and execute captivating experiences within the ever-evolving realm of fashion.
